State of Decay

Where: Innsmouth
This dark New England coastal town with post apocolyptic undertones is amoung my favorites, of it's type, that I have ever explored. Sims featuring urban decay were a dime a dozen for awhile but while there are still many to be found littering the grid, most are painfully outdated and moreover, few could rival Innsmouth even in their day.

It's hard to pin down what makes this sim so special. Effective use of windlight, weather, and greenery doesn't hurt. Neither do the detailed textures or creative but functional building designs. I think, what really makes Innsmouth stand out is how well these things work together to create the atmosphere. From landing to port out, every detail of the sim goes to feeding a feeling that you are in what once was a quaint little town, a place of quiet peace, until something terrible happened.

For post apoc and urban decay lovers this is simply a can't miss. Experience the aftermath at Innsmouth
